First some photos of the car. It's a 635CSi automatic with a 3.5 litre M30 engine. Macau blue with Lotus white interior and some nice 5-series Turbine wheels.
BMW 635CSI Highline Motorsport
As this car is a Motorsport it is de-chromed, has the Motorsport M-steering wheel and LSD. It has the adjustable headlights option as well but it's broken (as always). Headlight washers/wipers work though.
If you want to verify the Highline Motorsport from the VIN please be aware that this can sometimes be difficult ;-) The Motorsport code is 129 and Highline is 441. The problem is that the 129 code doesn't show up on BMWs new systems and a lot of dealers can't find it. Please ask them to go on the old mainframe build system to verify this code. Codes that come with 129 are 209, 339, 354, 708.
In 2006 rust started on all four wings.
Additionally, at the end of 2006, I hit the kerb with the front spoiler which caused some damage.
The car was off the road for six months last year and after getting back on the road it made some cracking noises when turning from lock-to-lock. This seems to be less and less the more I drive it though. Probably ball-joints or other and shouldn't be difficult to fix. It has had new track-rod ends, idler arm and center drag link fitted.
The o/s jacking pad needs fixing as well as the rust listed above and there's slight rust around the rear towing eye.
Before next year's MOT is will need new tyres and the rear section of the exhaust replaced.
Overall the car is in good condition but it will probably cost £2000 to have the rust fixed and get it ready for the MOT.
