In January 2007, after 4 months off the road to have new exhaust manifolds fitted (nasty job) I finally got it ready to start up! A minor disaster ocurred because the new oil filter I fitted was missing the rubber gasket which meant all the oil went straight out of the top of it as soon as it started up.

TwoSheds recorded four movie clips of the whole event. This one is the first attempt where we stopped because it back fired through the carb:

Realised I had swapped the HT leads for cylinder 1 and 3 which was quickly sorted.
The next movie is after we realised the oil filter was leaking. Carly solved the mystery :) Mmm... Oil.

Third attempt after we thought we had fixed the problem. Oil still pouring out though...

Finally succesful - Yay! :)

Now I just need it MOT'd.
